Product Description

This cushion we called Ancestors’ Blues 1 and its message are an homage to all parents and grandparents that told fairy tales and bedtime stories to their kids and grandkids. Our father’s mother was one of them. We have a lingering regret about not recording or writing down the tales she told us during our childhood.
The linen napkin with the dark blue flower embroidery was done by the late mother of a close friend; and she knew that we would turn it into something that carries the love and care of her maternal lineage. And it was almost a blank slate so we wanted to memorize Ruth Krauss, beloved children’s author.
And we backed it with a piece from the denim curtain we sewn for the nursery room of the first baby girl of the younger sista.
Kudos to all maternal lineage of ours!
