What happens when two crafter sistas unite after three years of Covid19 lockdowns and travel restrictions? Of course, they sit and sift through all the material the older sista accumulated, discuss the possible new projects and laugh!
That’s what we did on a whole week of August. Because the crazy is allowed on Sista & Sista Made, and because of the new possibilities and the associations they conjured in our minds, as we talk about new products, mostly we were in stitches (the pun is obvious!)
Ecoprinted tshirts with quirky messages and embellishments, shibori-style natural dyed table runners, all kinds of discarded textile material: ribbons, pompoms, leather flowers, muslin scarves, leftover fabric scraps from many projects… the list was almost endless. So, together we grouped these, decided on the ones we want to use and the rest was bagged for the next “Your Trash, My Treasure” meeting. As you may know, by now… no scraps left behind or for the landfills.
Time flew fast and younger sista returned to UK with a heavier luggage. Older sista is now busy with new projects. There will be more to share till we meet again.
